Brand New 2025 Ard Rí A8-390C with a pick of the bunch Alpine spruce upgraded top, rounded cutaway and an out of this world Ziricote back and sides.
Like everything that comes out of the Avalon factory, this guitar is built to perfection using only the highest quality tonewoods. It really is an incredible looking and most importantly sounding instrument.
The Ard Rí range are Avalon’s top models, with woods selected as being the most premium available. Spruce from the Dolomites region is renowned for it’s excellent tonal qualities and that, along with the stunning Ziricote back and sides, makes for a wonderful combination. Ziricote is a perfectly well balanced tonewood and offers an almost 3D quality to the sound. It just sings and is so punchy and direct. It's no surprise that Richard Thompson chooses to use Ziricote over any others. It's just a meaty but never muffled sound it delivers and is great for both strumming and fingerpicking. Plus it looks incredible too!
