Collings 002H
Pre-owned 2017 Collings 002H with sitka top and East Indian rosewood back and sides.
A stunning small bodied guitar from the sublime Collings team in Austin, Texas.
As with everything that comes of out the Collings workshop, this guitar is a thing of beauty in both looks and sound. Their attention to detail really is astounding and everything is done with perfection at the heart of it.
Being a smaller bodied 00 size, this makes it perfect for finger style work and light strumming and the sound just jumps from the soundhole with supreme clarity, balance and a piano like chime. It’s a very well voiced instrument.
It’s in excellent condition all round with only minimal signs of playwear presenting itself in a very few small light indentations to the lacquer that can only be seen if caught in the right light and a couple of very very tiny dots of what appears to be a lacquer build-up. Otherwise it’s very clean indeed and it travels in it’s luxury Collings 5 ply hard case, also in excellent condition.
