2025 Custom David Oddy Dreadnought with AAA sitka spruce top and wonderful Honduran mahogany back and sides.
Here we have a wonderful, but quite rare on the preowned market David Oddy guitar. Since David’s very sad passing in 2017, his son Nick has taken the helm and continues to make fantastic instruments that live up to his father’s reputation and carry the well respected brand’s name. This is a beautiful guitar to look at and it’s sound more than matches it’s aesthetics.
It was a custom build, as displayed on the label and it has some wonderful appointments, such as the hand selected top with abalone rosette, the flamed maple bindings, koa end pin, b/w top & side purflings and Oddy’s “snowflake” take on the classic Martin diamonds and squares fretboard inlays in mother of pearl.
It’s in excellent condition throughout, with barely any visible playwear at all other than some light scratching to the pickguard and it comes stage equipped with an L.R Baggs Lyric pickup system. It also travels in it’s very protective Hiscos Lifelite Pro II hard case.
