The Doc Watson Model is by far the most recognized Gallagher Guitar and has been a staple of their range since 1974. The models have mahogany back and sides, Sitka spruce tops with voiced bracing, and herringbone purfling and rosettes. They’re a great set of materials done properly and they sound incredible.
We’re so pleased to be offering guitars being built by David Mathis’s new dawn of Gallagher Guitar Co. and, like the previous ones that have come through, this one is a beast of a guitar. Super resonant and rich from the get go, this guitar can do it all. With a flatpicking heritage laid out before it, it certainly excels at that, but what took us back is the quality of this guitar for strumming and fingerpicking work too. Superb!
