Preowned Huss & Dalton TD-M Traditional dreadnought with a silky sitka spruce top and a wonderful Honduran mahogany back and sides.
This model is widely considered one of the team in Staunton, Virginia’s most popular model and that’s for very good reason. It’s an exquisite dreadnought and take on Martin’s classic D18 design. As per usual from the H&D crew, this has the Collings style build quality combined with a superb tone. Tight, deep bass and a modern top end reminiscent of other top boutique brands such as Santa Cruz, Bourgeois & Boucher. The Sitka top is a joy to behold, with a nicely honeyed up look to it with medullary rays aplenty and the top grade Honduran mahogany provides the balance and clarity to back up the warmth of the great top.
It’s from the traditional range, so it’s styled on the classic pre war Martin flattops, but with little boutique details such as the tortoise shell bindings and compensated long belly saddle. It’s understated, but classy looking and it feels great underhand. This really is a singer songwriters dream, or string it up with 13s and it can flatpick with the best of them.
It’s in fantastic condition with only a hint of some light surface scratching on the back, which we’re sure can be buffed out and it travels in it’s tweed H&D licensed TKL hardcase.
