2022 Martin 000-28 Modern Deluxe.
The 000-42 Modern Deluxe is packed with vintage appointments, custom features, and modern technology. Being a 42 range model it has some of the top tier tonewoods Martin has to offer. This one comes with a Sitka spruce VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM® (VTS) top and a beautifully straight grained, premium east Indian rosewood back and sides. The dovetail neck joint, and natural protein glue construction deliver the rich, fully-aged Martin tone that has inspired generations.
The 42 Modern Deluxe come with European flamed maple binding on the body, fretboard and headstock, stylish gold frets, gold waverly open-gear tuners, and this 42 model also sports an ornate vintage torch headstock design inlaid in abalone & pearl on the headstock and Golden Era Style 45 Snowflake fingerboard and bridge inlays, also in abalone with mother of pearl. Ultra-modern features like the gold Liquidmetal bridge pins with abalone dots and a composite carbon fiber bridgeplate boost volume, making this a guitar players dream.
The 000-42 is basically a short scale OM model so plays with ease and it sounds incredible with all of the Modern Deluxe features. The new neck profile for these models is fantastic and the guitar is the perfect blend of vintage sound crossed with modern playability. If you haven't tried out a Modern Deluxe model you are doing yourself a disservice as they're incredible. They're like a Martin sound with the boutique quality and finish of say a Collings or a Bourgeois and this one also being one of the flagship models in the range alongside it’s dreadnought sibling.
