Martin D28 Authentic 1937 Aged with K&K Pure Mini

£7,499.00

Preowned 2020 version of Martin’s flagship D28 1937 Authentic Aged with VTS Adirondack top, Madagascar rosewood back & sides and K&K Pure Mini pickup installed.

Modelled after an original 1937 D28, which was CAT scanned in the Smithsonian Institute, this is a true to form Authentic remake with a select VTS, (Vintage Tone System), torrefied Adirondack top, T-bar non adjustable truss rod, Authentic bracing, ultra thin nitro finish, hide glue and cloth strip construction. This is then treated to some select Madagascar rosewood back and sides for a tonal, modern day equivalent of a highly sought after pre-war Martin dreadnought.

Being Martin’s top end Authentic dreadnought, It’s an absolutely belter of a guitar with deep chesty lows and thick shimmering highs and it plays fantastically well, with a slight lowering of the long glued in saddle being made. It really is like playing a vintage pre war guitar without the incredible price tag those models command these days. Bar the aforementioned slight lowering of the saddle to make this play with great ease, it’s in fantastic condition and the only wear to mention is the factory relic/ageing process.

It comes in it’s official TKL Harptone 545V 5 ply Martin licensed case with all hang tags and case candy.
