McNally OM Custom
A 2021 NOS OM custom model from Ciaran McNally with a jaw dropping Alpine spruce top, with medullary rays aplenty and a premium Madagascar rosewood back and sides.
This is essentially a new guitar with absolutely zero playwear and it sounds incredible! The tonewoods throughout are top grade and it comes with plenty of upgrades, including the pinstripe headstock & fingerboard, the mitred back strip and end pin wedge in Koa, side purflings, headstock logo in mother of pearl and an abalone rosette.
The tone of this thing can only be described as pure and sweet. It projects beautifully and the clarity of each note is remarkable. No mud or unnecesary frequencies going on, it just sings. It really is an indicator of a fantastic luthier utilising top tier tonewoods to create a masterpiece of an instrument. It would sound incredible in a recording scenario, requiring no additional EQ.
Ciaran McNally honed his craft working for Lowden and Atkin before setting up shop in his native Northern Ireland. He creates guitars with a perfect blend of Celtic and Americana flavours and offers an extremely boutique level of customisation options one would expect from a small-workshop luthier. Always using top grade materials throughout, he’s been on a quest to offer luthier-built acoustic guitars at a competitive price point and he does this magnificently.
This guitar retails at well over £7k, so grab a bargain for a stunning instrument and save yourself a long wait time.
It travels in it’s Hiscox Pro hardshell case with all the relevant case candy, a pickguard yet to be applied and an additional winter saddle.
